How to play the Scout in Snay Strike: how Scan works, when to send out recon, how the team can use what you find and how to break ambushes.

AbilityScan

The Scout is a recon hero. His main weapon is information: he shows the team where enemies are hiding and keeps teammates from being caught off guard. A Scout who sends out recon at the right moment makes the whole team stronger.

How Scan works

  • When you press the ability button, a recon pulse spreads out from the Scout.
  • The pulse detects enemies within its area: for a while they can be seen through walls, and the whole team gets this information, on the radar too.
  • Detected enemies may realise they have been spotted and move.
  • After a pulse, Scan needs time to recharge.

When the Scout shines

  • Before moving into a new position, so the team knows where enemies are waiting.
  • When you suspect an ambush around a corner or inside a building.
  • When an enemy is hiding and the team cannot find him.

Playing with the team

Scan becomes an advantage only if the team uses it. The Rocket can fire at a revealed group, the Teleporter can go where the enemy isn’t, the Tank can turn the barrier the right way. Send out the pulse when your teammates are ready to act.

Rocket — fires at revealed enemies.

Teleporter — uses recon to pick a flank.

Beginner tips

  • Revealed enemies know it, so attack right after the pulse.
  • Watch the radar: it shows what the scan has found.
  • Scan from behind cover: recon first, then step into the open.

Other heroes

Snay Strike is in development: this guide describes the hero in the current version of the game, and the ability’s details may still change.
